Job summary

Alameda Center For Rehabilitation & Healthcare in New Jersey seeks an experienced RN Nursing Supervisor to lead our weekend nursing team across all shifts. You will coordinate total resident care and supervise nursing units, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• Experience in a long-term care setting is required.
• Prior supervisory experience in a healthcare environment is required.
• Annual verification of a negative TB skin test is required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Oversight: conduct rounds to assess resident conditions and ensure care plans are followed.
• Staff Coordination: verify staffing levels and reinforce training and orientation.
• Collaboration: coordinate with Charge Nurses on admissions, discharges, transfers and resident well-being.
• Emergency Response: act as primary contact for emergencies and condition changes.
• Quality Assurance: review incident reports and participate in quality improvement.
• Environment & Safety: maintain safe, sanitary environment and monitor meal services for nutrition.
• Direct Care: perform medication passes and provide direct resident care when needed.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and clinical-minded RN Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination of total resident care, providing professional supervision across all nursing units. The ideal candidate possesses strong administrative abilities, a deep knowledge of nursing practices, and the clinical judgment necessary to adapt to complex situations while maintaining compliance with State and Federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Oversight: Conduct morning and evening rounds to assess resident conditions, prioritizing critically ill residents and ensuring care plans are followed.
• Staff Coordination: Verify daily staffing levels, redistribute personnel as needed, and reinforce training and orientation for nursing staff.
• Collaboration: Partner with Charge Nurses daily to exchange information regarding admissions, discharges, transfers, and general resident well-being.
• Emergency Response: Serve as the primary point of contact for emergencies, including changes in resident condition.
• Quality Assurance: Review incident reports for accuracy, participate in resident care committees, and assist in the implementation of the facility’s Quality Improvement Program.
• Environment & Safety: Ensure a safe, secure, and sanitary environment; monitor meal services to ensure nutritional adequacy and resident satisfaction.
• Direct Care: Perform medication passes and provide direct resident care as needed to support the team.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current and valid RN registration with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Experience: Prior nursing experience in a long-term care setting is required.
• Leadership: Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare environment is required.
• Compliance: Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
