Job summary

Alameda Center in New Jersey is seeking an experienced RN Nursing Supervisor to lead the nursing team on the 11pm to 7am shift. You will coordinate total resident care and supervise across all nursing units, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will have an active RN license, long-term care experience, and prior supervisory roles. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork are essential to support a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current RN registration with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Experience: Prior nursing experience in a long-term care setting is required.
• Leadership: Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare environment is required.
• Compliance: Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.

Responsibilities

• Conduct morning and evening rounds to assess resident conditions and ensure care plans are followed.
• Verify daily staffing levels, redistribute personnel, and reinforce training and orientation for nursing staff.
• Partner with Charge Nurses daily to manage admissions, discharges, transfers, and resident well‑being.
• Serve as primary contact for emergencies and changes in resident condition.
• Review incident reports for accuracy and assist in Quality Improvement activities.
• Ensure a safe, sanitary environment and monitor meal services for nutritional adequacy and resident satisfaction.
• Perform medication passes and provide direct resident care as needed.

• Quality Assurance: Review incident reports for accuracy, participate in resident care committees, and assist in the implementation of the facility’s Quality Improvement Program.
• Environment & Safety: Ensure a safe, secure, and sanitary environment; monitor meal services to ensure nutritional adequacy and resident satisfaction.
• Direct Care: Perform medication passes and provide direct resident care as needed to support the team.
