Job summary

Alameda Center is seeking an experienced RN Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing team across all shifts. You will coordinate total resident care, provide professional supervision, and ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.

The ideal candidate has strong administrative abilities, deep nursing knowledge, and the clinical judgment to handle complex situations while maintaining quality care and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN registration with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Experience in long-term care is required.
• Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare environment is required.
• Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Oversight: Conduct morning and evening rounds to assess resident conditions, prioritizing critically ill residents and ensuring care plans are followed.
• Staff Coordination: Verify daily staffing levels, redistribute personnel as needed, and reinforce training and orientation for nursing staff.
• Collaboration: Partner with Charge Nurses daily to exchange information regarding admissions, discharges, transfers, and general resident well-being.
• Emergency Response: Serve as the primary point of contact for emergencies, including changes in resident condition.
• Quality Assurance: Review incident reports for accuracy, participate in resident care committees, and assist in the implementation of the facility’s Quality Improvement Program.
• Environment & Safety: Ensure a safe, secure, and sanitary environment; monitor meal services to ensure nutritional adequacy and resident satisfaction.
• Direct Care: Perform medication passes and provide direct resident care as needed to support the team.
