Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking an RN to join our day-shift, full-time team at the East Orlando Campus. Eligible clinicians can earn salary increases through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience and advancement criteria. Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, planning and delivering care, administering medications, and educating families. Emphasis on teamwork, safety, and documentation.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor degree preferred.
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reassess and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Document patient information and outcomes accurately in the medical record.

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines. Up to $5000 Sign-on Bonus to eligible candidates. Terms: 12-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation Sign-on Eligibility: One (1) year of applicable experience Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible Candidates recommended for TTAC training are not eligible. Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
