Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for the full-time night shift to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within our faith-based Healing Ministry. You will provide comprehensive nursing care with a focus on compassion and clinical excellence.

You will conduct assessments, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, document outcomes, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, holistic care.

Qualifications

• RN with current licensure and BLS/ACLS certification.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and be part of a faith-based team.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans based on standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and self-care.
• Collaborate with staff to coordinate patient care and ensure safety.
• Document care activities and outcomes in medical records.

Job Description:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Cert (ACLS) [Required]
