4 South is a 30-bed medical and surgical stepdown unit at UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham that cares for a wide range of patients and offers a dynamic environment for learning and developing your nursing skills. It’s an ideal unit for nurses who are not ready for the intensity of an ICU but are seeking to advance their skills. We foster skill development and clinical expertise in a supportive, teaching-focused setting.
