Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our inpatient team. You will assess patients, develop personalized care plans, administer medications, and educate families as part of a collaborative care environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clinical ladder opportunities, and adherence to hospital protocols, with day schedules and 36 hours per week, supporting professional growth and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Florida with active license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and reassess regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.

Job Description

Shift: Days, 7a to 7p

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
