Job summary

UAB Medicine, Alabama's largest health system, seeks an experienced RN to join the team at UAB St. Vincent's Chilton. This full-time position offers night shifts, with 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. daily and PRN night coverage.

Work location is UAB St. Vincent's Chilton in Alabama. You will provide direct nursing care, implement care plans, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure orders are carried out in collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 1 month of hire date.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.

• Provide direct nursing care per established policies, procedures and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
