Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Maternal Newborn - Couplet Care unit. This full-time night position (36 hrs/week) offers self-scheduling and opportunities for growth within a magnet-designated facility that delivers high-quality maternal care.

Requirements include an RN license upon hire, an associate degree or nursing diploma, 1 year of RN experience (Mother/Baby preferred), and BCLS/NRP/CPI certifications completed within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN is preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required.
• One-year experience as an RN, or completion of an RN residency program required.
• One year or more of Mother/Baby, Couplet Care RN experience strongly preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required.
• Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Registered Nurse (RN) Maternal Newborn - Full time

• Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
• The Women's Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, has been named "Best Place to Have a Baby" and Maternal Level IV designated facility
• Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements

Maternal/Newborn, Couplet Care Department Highlights

• Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
• 27-bed Maternal/Newborn unit
• Average between 275 to 300 deliveries per month
• Utilize the following skills: Breastfeeding education/resources, responsible for both mom and baby (Couplet Care)
