Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth, TX seeks a full-time Registered Nurse for the Maternal/Newborn unit. The role requires RN licensure, 1 year RN experience (Mother/Baby preferred), and BCLS certification. NRP within 90 days and CPI training annually are required.

Work schedule: 36 hours/week, 6:45PM-7:15AM with flexible holiday/weekend coverage. We offer a family-like team in a Magnet-designated facility with opportunities for growth, self-scheduling, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma
• BSN is preferred
• RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
• One-year experience as an RN or completion of an RN residency
• One year or more of Maternal/Newborn RN experience strongly preferred
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers

Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours/week, 6:45PM-7:15AM with holiday and weekend requirements

Maternal/Newborn Department highlights

• Our team is like a family with a newly renovated Mother/Baby, couplet care unit with 26-beds
• Average between 275-285 deliveries per month in a fast-paced couplet care unit
• Part of the CHAMPS national initiative for breastfeeding education

Here’s What You Need
