Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill, PA is seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse to assess patient health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.

The RN administers care to ill patients, may advise on health maintenance, and will monitor, record, and report changes in conditions. Night and weekend shifts with evening differential are available.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate license through the NLC.
• BLS certification required prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and develop/implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and monitor patient symptoms and reactions to medications.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects; report changes in patient conditions.

Hours: Varied; Night Shift or Weekend Day Shift

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The RN inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
• BLS required prior to orientation completion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Cardiac Stepdown/Cardiac ICU experience as a preferred
