Summary: The competent Nurse practices independently within a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations. They develop long-term care plans, manage clinical contingencies, and delegate tasks appropriately to other care providers.
- Meets expectations of leadership competencies including self, others, or leaders.
- Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
- Addresses patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, tailoring care accordingly.
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitors side-effects, and documents care details.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred), 1 year of related experience (preferred), BLS certification, and an RN license in the state of employment or compact.
- Work schedule is 3 days of 12-hour shifts; full-time position.
