Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Hemodialysis department in Winter Haven. You will deliver compassionate, expert care in a hospital setting, handling dialysis patients with a focus on safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure and nursing education at least a diploma/associates/bachelor’s level, with 1 year of HD experience. Expect day-evening shifts, on-call, and on-site work with opportunities for mentorship and career growth.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing.
• 1 year RN experience in Hemodialysis in an Acute Care setting.
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of Dialysis patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members.
• Care for patient needs throughout recovery in critical care.
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Coordinate and document discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care after discharge.
• Maintain high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience.

Requirements:
