Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Hemodialysis Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered dialysis care in a long-term care facility. Under the guidance of the Unit Medical Director, you will perform bedside care, monitor treatments, and ensure compliance with state and federal standards.
Responsibilities include vascular access care, medication administration, infection control, care planning, and emergency response.
We are seeking a dedicated Hemodialysis RN to deliver exceptional, patient-centered chronic dialysis care within our long-term care facility. Working under the guidance of the Unit Medical Director, you will provide specialized bedside care, ensure strict adherence to state and federal standards, and build meaningful relationships with long-term residents.
Treatment Management: Safely initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis procedures; conduct thorough pre- and post-treatment clinical assessments.
Specialized Procedures: Perform vascular access care, administer medications, draw blood samples, and manage blood transfusions within your scope of practice.
Infection Control: Execute strict isolation protocols, universal precautions, and safe patient-handling techniques.
Care Planning & Education: Develop individualized nursing care plans and provide ongoing clinical education to patients and their families.
Emergency Response: Promptly identify, intervene, and report acute medical or dialysis-related complications.
Equipment Oversight: Safely operate, sanitize, and perform routine maintenance on hemodialysis machines and water treatment systems.
Unit Operations: Manage clinical inventory, order supplies, and maintain an organized, audit-ready clinical workspace.
Troubleshooting: Identify and immediately report equipment malfunctions or technical anomalies.
Interdisciplinary Care: Coordinate closely with physicians, medical directors, care coordinators, and facility staff.
Leadership & Mentorship: Assist with onboarding and training new clinical personnel; actively participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and team meetings.
RN will be responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of all hemodialysis and related ancillary and emergency equipment utilized in the facility such as: reuse equipment, water treatment equipment, computer, hemodialysis machines, sphygmomanometer, conductivity meter, glucometers, scale, electronic thermometers, centrifuge, EKG machine, IV infusion pump, code cart, suction machine, oxygen administration equipment, and personal protective equipment.
