Job summary

Fairview has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) at Northland Medical Center in Princeton. This 0.8 FTE position supports the Gastroenterology department with Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM shifts, one weekday off.

The RN will plan, organize, and provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, educate patients, document timely notes, and support quality family-centered care within the care team.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice (New Jersey for this posting).
• Ambulatory care setting experience is preferred.
• Proficient in patient education and documentation.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

Fairview has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) Northland Medical Center in Princeton. This RN will support the Gastroenterology department. This is a 0.8 FTE position (64 hours every two weeks), working Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The schedule includes one weekday off each week.

The registered nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. While following established standards and protocols, the registered nurse delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic. The RN provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established nursing standards and practices. As a member of the care team, the RN supports quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The nurse will educate patients and the public about various medical conditions, maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Required Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice, some positions may require additional state RN licenses

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year previous healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting


• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
