The ideal candidate will hold an Alabama RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of acute care experience, with 2+ years preferred. You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care and maintain regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• 1 year RN experience in acute care required; 2+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced nursing care for critically ill patients requiring complex assessments, high-intensity interventions, and continuous monitoring.

• Uses clinical judgment and assessment data to anticipate, prioritize, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions.

• Operates, monitors, and adjusts specialized medical equipment and interprets data from monitoring systems.

• Responds to emergencies using established nursing standards, protocols, and life‑saving interventions.

• Assesses patient needs, develops and revises individualized care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes.

• Advocates for patients and families while ensuring age‑appropriate care across the lifespan.

• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams and may serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or educator.

• Documents care accurately, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures compliance with evidence‑based practice and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Education/Training

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health unit/department.

Licensure/Certification

• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license

• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Experience

• Required: At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting
• Preferred: At least 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting
