Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department on full-time days with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and unit/department.
• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, develop and revise individualized care plans, monitor progress, prioritize care, and advocate for patients and families.
• Provide age-appropriate care using growth and development principles, unit procedures, and equipment use.
• Lead and coordinate care as preceptor, charge nurse, educator, or clinician; delegate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Model professional behavior, uphold ethical standards, and foster respectful relationships.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure regulatory compliance and safety.
• Engage in professional development, trainings, mentoring, and leadership collaboration.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and apply evidence-based practice to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure efficient use of supplies.

Responsibilities

• Patient-Centered Care & Advocacy: Assesses patient needs, develops and revises individualized care plans, monitors progress, prioritizes care, and serves as a patient and family advocate.
• Age-Appropriate Competency: Demonstrates knowledge and skills for age-specific care, including growth and development principles, unit-specific procedures, and equipment use.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration: Functions as preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or clinician; coordinates care, delegates appropriately, and communicates with interdisciplinary teams.
• Professional Role Modeling: Supports hospital and nursing goals, practices compassionate care, maintains legal and ethical standards, and fosters respectful relationships.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintains accurate, consistent patient records meeting regulatory standards and adheres to hospital policies, attendance, and safety guidelines.
