Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room at Winter Haven Hospital. The RN will independently care for a sub-specialty group of patients, delegate patient care activities, and ensure accountability according to best practice standards. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of RN experience, with one year in the Operating Room preferred. Certifications such as BLS and ACLS are required. Position Details

• Location: Winter Haven Hospital
• Status: Fulltime
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8 hrs)
• On Call: Yes
• Weekend Work: Occasional
• Remote: Never
• Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Summary

The Cardiovascular Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub‑specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

Experience Requirements

This position requires a minimum of two years of experience as an RN. For this position, we strongly prefer at least one year RN experience in the Operating Room for consideration. Cardiovascular Operating Room experience preferred.
