Qualifications

Full‑time position in the Hospice of North Alabama. Where? Decatur, AL (Coverage area: Limestone County). Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8am‑5pm.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients
• Create hospice care plans that align with the patients’ wishes and goals
• Direct nursing care: administer medications, treatments, and interventions
• Provide pain and symptom management
• Educate and support the patient’s family and caregivers
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in on‑call rotation as required by local branch

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in the state of operation
• One year of nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
• Must be a licensed driver with a vehicle that is insured per state requirements and in good working order
