UAB Medicine's Cardiology Specialists of Birmingham is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide direct cardiovascular nursing care in our Med Group. The role supports care delivery across satellites, with a 4-day work week from Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, and travel to satellite locations as needed.

Job Description

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire required.
