Job summary

White Glove Placement New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-impact travel assignment in a busy Cardiology Stepdown Unit. You will work Telemetry/PCU patients during 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 6:45 PM) in a fast-paced cardiac environment.

Requirements include a GA RN license (or compact), 2+ years PCU/Stepdown experience, and at least one completed travel assignment. BLS/ACLS are required; NIHSS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active GA RN license or compact license.
• Minimum 2 years PCU/Stepdown experience in a large hospital.
• At least 1 completed travel assignment; no first-time travelers.
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required; NIHSS preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to telemetry/PCU Cardiology Stepdown patients.
• Monitor patient status, respond to alarms, and document care.
• Collaborate with care teams during 12-hour shifts.
• Float to ICU when needed based on acuity.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Telemetry / Progressive Care (PCU – Cardiac Stepdown)
• Shift: 12-Hour Days (6:45 AM – 6:45 PM)
• Assignment Length: 17 Weeks

Scheduling Expectations

• Every other weekend required
• Holiday flexibility required
• Floating to ICU may occur (stepdown-level patients unless ICU qualified)

Requirements

• Active GA RN/compact License
