Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Stepdown unit. You will implement care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and communicate patient conditions to the team.

The role requires a valid RN license in Alabama and a Diploma from an accredited nursing program, with BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Multiple full-time shifts with strong benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Current RN license by the Alabama Board of Nursing.

Job Description

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the
healthcare organization.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare
  team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
