Job Summary: Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) is one of the country's first hospitals to receive The Joint Commission/American Heart Association (AHA) Comprehensive Heart Attack Center Certification. GCMC has set the national standard for care coordination among hospital leadership, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, heart failure, advanced practice, nursing, life support, emergency medicine, emergency medical services (EMS), care management, pharmacy, and cardiac rehab teams.
Hiring Incentive: $15,000 recruitment loan paid over 2 years. Certain stipulations do apply.
Provides primary nursing support to the physician and patient to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition. Provides patient education, promotes an understanding of the condition and adheres to the treatment plan. The Registered Clinic Nurse functions in the spirit of teamwork and is accountable for the delivery of care utilizing skills learned in the clinic. Assists other team members on the unit.

Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program (Required).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year-Nursing (Preferred).
Certification(s) and License(s): Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body.
