Pay Range: $52,555.00 - $85,400.00 / year

This role involves managing new patient access to UAB’s cancer services for specific disease-based physician groups. Responsibilities include scheduling patients with the appropriate specialists, obtaining and reviewing outside medical records, pathology slides, and radiology images, and ensuring all necessary information is complete. Additionally, the nurse will contact new patients or referring providers within one business day to confirm appointments, provide visit details, answer questions, and ensure a positive first interaction at the O Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited school, three years of clinical experience (work experience cannot substitute for education), a current RN license from the Alabama Board of Nursing, and CPR certification (must be obtained within 30 days if not already certified). A Bachelor’s degree in nursing and two years of oncology nursing experience are preferred.
