Compensation: Pay Range: $52,555.00 - $85,400.00 / year. Job Description

Manage new patient access to UAB’s cancer services for specific disease-based groups. Ensure patients are scheduled with the correct specialists, oversee the collection of outside medical records, pathology slides, and radiology images to support new patient visits. Review patient charts to identify missing information and request necessary updates. Contact new patients and referring providers within one business day of appointment scheduling to confirm details, provide preparatory information, answer questions, and ensure a positive first interaction with the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school and three (3) years of clinical experience. Work experience may NOT substitute for education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and two (2) years of oncology nursing experience preferred.
  • Current RN license by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
  • Current CPR certification required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment.
