CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline is seeking a registered nurse for a per diem position. The role involves independent nursing care in a fast-paced setting with an emphasis on emergency and acute care, aligned with hospital standards.

The RN must hold a valid Texas RN license or be eligible for a compact license, and BLS certification is required. Prior experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred, with flexible Per Diem As Needed scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required or preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS required; RN License in state of employment or compact acceptable.

Responsibilities

Summary

The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
