Job summary

Mount Vernon Health Care Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality resident care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, admission tasks, discharges, wound care, and supervising CNAs and other staff in accordance with facility protocols. Ohio RN licensure and a patient-centered approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure to practice in Ohio.
• Compassionate, patient and empathetic care for residents.
• Ability to lead CNAs and coordinate care per facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, follow protocol, report medical or behavioral changes, and document findings
• Perform admission duties: complete assessment, MAR, TAR, POS, review chart set-up, physician orders, and order medications
• Manage discharges: complete documentation, notify physician and guardian, and arrange transportation
• Provide wound care: follow protocols, irrigate, pack, and remove dressings
• Lead CNAs and CMTs, ensuring compliance with facility protocols and policies
• Respond effectively to emergency situations
