Job summary

Mercy’s Regional Float Pool in the St. Louis area is seeking experienced RNs for night shifts across Mercy Jefferson and surrounding facilities. You will provide skilled bedside care while rotating through multiple units.

This role offers mobility, ongoing learning, and collaboration with diverse care teams. Expect dynamic workloads, strong clinical assessment, and opportunities to grow through education assistance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• 1 year of recent bed-side RN experience for Med Surg; 2 years for ICU/other specialties.
• BLS required for Med Surg/Behavioral Health; BLS, ACLS for Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Float across Mercy hospitals in the St. Louis region as part of Regional Float Pool.
• Work in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Stepdown, and ICU units as needed.
• Collaborate with diverse care teams and maintain high standards of patient care.

• Base Pay (Determined by Experience)
  • PLUS Regional Float Pool Perk AND Shift Differentials: $2.75/Evenings, $4.60/Nights, $1.50/Weekends

Qualifications:

• Required Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
    • Preferred Education: BSN
• Licensure:
  • Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• REQUIRED Experience:
  • One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg.
  • For all other specialties (ICU, etc.) a minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience.
    • Preferred Experience: Epic experience
• Certifications (Must have to start):
  • For Med Surg and Behavioral Health - BLS
  • For Critical Care (CC) - BLS, ACLS
• Physical Requirements/Demands:
  • Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
