Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Regional Float Pool across the St. Louis region. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult/geriatric patients and support multiple facilities as needed.

Requirements include RN licensure, 1 year bedside RN experience for Med/Surg (2 years for ICU/specialties), and Epic experience preferred. Excellent benefits, sign-on bonus, and tuition support are offered.

• Certified RN licensure in hiring state.
• Minimum one year of bedside RN experience for Med/Surg; two years for ICU/ specialty areas.

Qualifications:

• Required Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
    • Preferred Education: BSN

• Licensure:
  • Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• REQUIRED Experience:
  • One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg.
  • For all other specialties (ICU, etc.) a minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience.
    • Preferred Experience: Epic experience

• Certifications (Must have to start):
  • For Med Surg and Behavioral Health - BLS
  • For Critical Care (CC) - BLS, ACLS
• Physical Requirements/Demands:
  • Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
