Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Quality and Safety Leader to promote patient safety culture across departments, hospital quality, patient safety, and infection prevention, while aligning with MMCIP leadership and national clinical standards.

The role involves leading data collection and reporting, coordinating improvement initiatives, and delivering formal and informal education on continuous improvement to clinicians and staff to support UMMS’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare.
• Current RN License in the State of Maryland.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality and safety initiatives across departments and service lines.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and MMCIP to promote safety culture.
• Collect, analyze, and report data for quality evaluation and performance improvement.
• Provide education on continuous improvement and lead or participate in safety committees.
• Promote safe culture through rounds, audits, and continuous communication.
