Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH is seeking an RN for Quality Review. The role administers the Medical Staff's quality improvement program, liaises with hospital leadership, and supports credentialing data capture.

You will review records to derive variance information for peer review across all departments and complete regulatory core measure auditing and data entry. The ideal candidate holds an ADN (BSN preferred), current Ohio RN license, and at least five years of acute-care nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio.
• Graduate of CCNE or ACEN accredited program.

RN Quality Review

Summary: Administers Medical Staff’s program of Quality Improvement activities and serves as a liaison between Medical Staff and the hospital to provide clinical information to maximize the peer review process and to aid in data capture for credentialing. Through complete record review provides variance information to the peer review process for all departments. Completes regulatory core measure auditing and data entry.

Formal Education Required:

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) required, BSN preferred
• Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
• Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio

Experience & Training Required:

• Five (5) years recent professional nursing experience to include a combination of medical, specialty care and/or surgical experience in an acute care setting.

• Must maintain confidentiality of patient and physician information in all aspects of review activities.
• Ability to effectively present statistical findings for review by medical staff, committees and administration.
