Job summary

University of Vermont Health is seeking a Registered Nurse – Quality Improvement Consultant located in Berlin, VT. You will partner with leadership to design, implement, and monitor clinical and operational improvements that advance our high reliability goals and patient safety.

The role emphasizes expert systems analysis, risk reduction, accreditation readiness, and robust change management. The position requires Vermont RN licensure and a BSN, with MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Vermont RN license required.
• BSN required
• MSN preferred
• Experience with accreditation standards preferred
• Five years or more of increasing responsibility in systems, quality, or health care administration
• Demonstrated management ability-Strong communication/presentation skills
• Ability to work with all levels of staff and management
• Experience with JC/regulatory surveys for hospitals, physician offices, home health care and ambulatory settings
• Experience with electronic document management systems (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor clinical and operational systems improvement projects aligned with organizational priorities.
• Provide expertise in systems analysis, performance optimization, risk reduction, and accreditation compliance.
• Utilize quality management tools to analyze workflows, plan and implement improvements, and recommend changes.
• Serve as a change agent to enhance system performance and outcomes.
