Job summary

Murray-Calloway County Hospital is seeking a Quality Data Abstractor, RN to support quality improvement by reviewing medical records for CMS core measures and other metrics. The RN will abstract data, enter it into approved software, and work with the care team to ensure documentation supports measure compliance.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), a registered nurse license in Kentucky or a compact state, and a minimum of three years of acute care nursing

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required (KY or compact state).
• Minimum three years of acute care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct real-time and retrospective review of medical records for CMS core measures and other quality metrics.
• Abstract and enter data into approved software systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to clarify documentation and improve measure compliance.
• Review medical records against regulatory criteria and route variances to Quality leadership.
