Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Stuart Family Health Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Pulmonary FHC team in Stuart, FL. This full-time, day-shift role provides professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting for patients with lung, breathing, and sleep disorders.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, telephone triage, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and LIPs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• One year of recent RN experience
• Current RN license in the state
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.
• Notify the physician and/or LIP of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures and patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Facilitate smooth operation of ambulatory areas.
• Participate in quality initiatives and research to improve outcomes and safety.

About This Role

As an RN on the Pulmonary Care team at Cleveland Clinic Stuart Family Health Center, you will provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, assisting in the delivery of exceptional care for patients with lung, breathing, and sleep disorders.

What You'll Do

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Facilitate smooth operation of the ambulatory areas.
• Participate in quality initiatives, process improvements and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience and patient safety.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)

Experience:

• One year of recent experience as an RN
• Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
