Qualifications

• RN licensure in Alaska required.
• Diploma or AS in Nursing required; BSN/MSN preferred.
• 2 years of RN or public health-related experience; higher degree may substitute.
• Current BLS; ACLS/PALS recommended.
• Computer experience; MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) preferred.
• Proficiency with Cerner within 3 months of hire.
• Pediatrics knowledge required.
• Cross-cultural teaching experience and Community Health Aide Program knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; fluent in English; Yugtun preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to villages to provide services and on-site instruction.
• Assist in design, execution, monitoring, QA, and assessment of public health programs.
• Educate on immunizations, chronic care, preventive exams, and diagnostic/testing procedures.
• Coordinate with other health care providers and maintain patient records.
• Stay updated with public health knowledge to improve outcomes.
