Avantara Chicago Ridge in Chicago Ridge, IL, is hiring a Psychotropic Medication Nurse/Unit Manager to join a compassionate clinical team. You will screen and assess residents on psychotropic medications for clinical appropriateness, monitor adverse reactions, and coordinate psychiatric services to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Requirements include an Illinois RN license and CPR certification; one year of SNF RN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license and CPR certification required.
• One year of RN experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Psychotropic Medication Nurse you are the backbone of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect atAvantaraChicago Ridgeby screening and assessing all residents on psychotropic medications for clinical appropriateness, monitoring for adverse reactions and evaluating potential for drug reductions, completing MDS documentation and evaluations, obtaining informed consents, completing care plans for residents on psychotropic medications and coordinating psychiatric services. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State ofIllinoisRN license and C.P.R certification. One (1) year of RN experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
