Job summary

MercyOne Genesis in the Quad Cities region is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Behavioral Health Unit. This RN will provide safe, effective, and culturally-competent mental health care for patients across the lifespan, from children to older adults, with a focus on evidence-based practice and patient safety.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities, and meet Iowa licensure requirements (Illinois within 1 year).

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Iowa; Illinois within 1 year.
• Preferred: MH Nursing certification; Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally-competent mental health care for children through aging adult patient populations
• Assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidenced-based practice; adherence to ANA standards
