Job summary

UNM Hospital in Albuquerque seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in the Behavioral Services at the MATS Center, across adult, pediatric and geriatric units. You will follow the nursing process, ensure safety, and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, care planning, and patient/family education. Requires NM RN license, ACLS, BLS/CPR, and 2 years related experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program with active NM RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required.
• Experience in hospital nursing and patient care.
• Ability to work across adult, pediatric, and geriatric units.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process.
• Administer medications, including IVs, per policy and standards.
• Document care in medical records and communicate findings to team.
• Collaborate on care planning and discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Triage calls and support nursing orientation and preceptorship.
