Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Des Moines, IA. The RN will provide inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health care to adults, adolescents, and geriatrics, floating between units as needed.

Night shifts, 8-hour blocks, with flexibility around 1-2 winter holidays for staffing. Requirements include an active Iowa license (or compact), BLS, and a minimum of 24 months in psychiatric/behavioral health, with 15+ months of current psychiatric

• Float across units as needed to meet patient demands.
• Support care for patients with violence, aggression, mania or self-harm and ensure safety.

Description:Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to acutely psychiatric patients.The patient population includes adults, adolescents, and geriatrics.Candidates must have recent inpatient experience and experience across all age groups.The nurse will float across various units as required.Flexibility to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays is required unless the unit is closed.Experience with equipment competency, including restraints, is expected.Candidates should have a de-escalation certification or be willing to obtain one during onboarding.Solid navy blue scrubs are required for the position.This position entails responsibilities for managing chronic behaviors that can include violence, aggression, mania, and self-harm in patients.
