Job Summary
As an RN specializing in Psychiatric Nursing (PSY) during nighttime shifts, you will influence patient care through collaboration with managers, hospital councils and national initiatives, helping shape decisions that elevate outcomes and advance nursing.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition during admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting changes in status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical provider(s) and document care in the patient medical record promptly.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve them proactively.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
- Serve as interface between healthcare providers and community support systems to coordinate ongoing care for specialized patient groups.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Fingerprinting required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with state licensure.
- Associate Degree.
- No travel required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a RN in Psychiatry.
