Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process. The RN will evaluate care effectiveness, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in alignment with Mercy's mission and Service Standards.

The PCU unit serves patients 18+, with a broad scope across neuro, cardiac, GI, and more. RNs perform regular assessments every 2–4 hours and complete required certifications within timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• ACLS and other certifications may be required or completed within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinates with interdisciplinary teams.
• Upholds patient rights and maintains confidentiality in alignment with Mercy's mission and Service Standards.
