Job summary

• One year of clinical nursing experience.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, care providers and the multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to function as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for a population-specific group.
• Gather data through history and physical assessment to plan and intervene.
• Develop and revise the plan of care and nursing actions as patient needs change.
• Document care and patient progress toward outcomes.
• Direct and supervise others performing delegated nursing activities.
• Educate patients and families about the plan of care.
• Prepare patients to manage care after discharge or procedures.
• Manage time and resources to deliver care.
• Administer medications and provide direct patient care.
• Lead the health care team and serve as a resource for the shift.
