Department: Medical PCU

Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor

Minimum rate of pay: $34.77 PLUS Daily PAY

Position Purpose:

The Saint Joseph Mercy Health System's 6 North Medical PCU is a 10-bed unit providing care for patients with complex medical co-morbidities requiring vigilant monitoring, assessment, and timely clinical interventions. Common conditions include pulmonary disease, sepsis, diabetes, and cardiac issues. Many patients are transferred from MICU, and this is the only intermediate care unit caring for patients on mechanical ventilators.

Shifts Available: 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Status: Full time, Part time. Every other weekend and holiday required for both.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program, enabling eligibility to sit for the NCLEX exam. BSN preferred.
• Current Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification; ACLS required for departments like Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency.
• Experience encouraged, especially for Canadian RNs.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
