Job summary

Bon Secours seeks an RN for the Progressive Care (Step down) unit at Southside Medical Center. The role requires one year of RN experience, current RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS preferred.

You will deliver patient‑centered nursing care, coordinate with the care team, assess and plan treatments, and ensure safety and quality throughout the shift. Eligible external candidates may receive sign-on bonuses up to $10k day shift and $15k night shift, with internal associates ineligible.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where practicing.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; acute care setting preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred at hire with ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to plan and coordinate patient care.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Manage and document care, ensuring safety and quality practices.
• Administer medications safely per policy and procedure.
• Serve as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
