Job summary

West Penn Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the Progressive Care Float Pool in Pittsburgh. The role focuses on high-quality nursing care across units with patient-centered care and transformational leadership within a dynamic environment.

Requirements include PA RN licensure (or eNLC), CPR, and at least 2 years acute care experience; ACLS/NIH preferred and required background clearances. This is a full-time position with a 36-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience.
• CPR certification required.
• ACLS preferred.
• NIH Certification preferred.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Responsibilities

• Assess human responses and plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide transformational leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate clinical care.
