Job summary

West Penn Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network, seeks a perioperative RN for the float pool to support OR, GI Lab, PACU and Cath Lab areas. The position emphasizes cross-training across four specialty areas with a focus on safe, patient-centered care and efficient perioperative operations.

Minimum 2 years of acute care OR or Cath lab experience is required along with PA RN licensure and CPR. ACLS preferred; background clearances required by law and hospital policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years acute care OR or Cath lab experience.
• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure with eNLC.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification preferred; American Heart Association.
• Act 34, Act 33, Act 73 background clearances required.
• CPR certification and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Provides safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care.
• Directs and manages patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team from admission to discharge.
• Educates patient and family based on age and learning needs.
