Sweetwater Care is seeking a Program Coordinator/Director (RN) to oversee the Nurse Assistant Training Program and instructors. You will collaborate with managers, administrators, and external organizations to ensure services and resources align with standards-based curricula while meeting local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must have 24 months of professional nursing experience caring for the elderly or chronically ill.
  • At least 12 months professional nursing experience in a nursing home/long-term care setting.
  • Must have an RN license in the state of Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision of all instructors.
  • Coordinate and manage all program components for success and cohesiveness.
  • Plan, implement and assess health related coursework.
  • Assist with recruitment and hiring of qualified personnel for individual programs.
  • Develop and monitor appropriate program contracts and agreements.
  • Coordinate with local/state organizations and other managers and instructors.
  • Attend local and state meetings, conferences, and trainings as necessary.
  • Research, design, and present information when requested.

Program Coordinator/Director

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Administrator, the NATP Registered Nurse Program Coordinator/ Program Director (RNPC/PD) directly oversees the Nurse Assistant Training Program and Instructor. Collaboration with other managers, administrators, classroom instructors, industry as well as local and statewide organizations are essential for appropriate services and resources to be available. Initiation, planning, implementation, and assessment are critical factors when determining appropriate curricular resources for rigorous, standards-based programs. The RN Program Coordinator/ Program Director ensures all local, state, and federal government regulations are met when preparing and administrating programs and policies is vital to sustain programs. The school supports the RN Program Coordinator/ Program Director to have general oversight of multiple NATP's which may include employment and general oversight in other schools as long the RN/PC/PD is approved by the Colorado Board of Nursing Education in each of the NATP’s and meets all state and federal requirements.

Core Requirements:

Experience listed must demonstrate 24 months of professional nursing experience caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age. Along with experience that demonstrates at least 12 months professional nursing experience in a nursing home/long term care setting.

Must have an RN licnese in the state of Colorado.

Additoinal Requirements:

Provide direct supervision of all instructors

Possess effective. interpersonal, communication both orally and in writing.

Able to demonstrate good organizational skills.

Knowledge and experience working with culturally diverse and special populations.

Professional attitude and appearance to encompass confidential information.

Effectively operate office equipment and apply computer skills.

Understands the general principles of health education.

Assure compliance with regulatory agencies.

Attend local and state meetings, conferences, and in-service trainings as necessary,

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Work as a team member with other staff and agencies operating similar programs to facilitate an efficient, coordinated approach that maximizes fiscal accountability.
