Job summary

Wilmington Health is seeking an RN-Pro (Infusions) for our Silver Stream location in Wilmington, NC. This full-time role delivers high-quality infusion nursing care and collaborates with physicians to coordinate patient care.

The RN will perform infusion therapies, triage calls, and assist with patient education materials while supervising LPNs and CMA/RMA as needed. The position requires NC RN licensure and clinical infusion experience.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina (or Compact) RN license.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in infusion nursing or related clinical setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Perform telephone triage and relay messages to physicians as needed.
• Coordinate with business office to schedule patient appointments across facilities.
• Utilize nursing process for patient needs and follow-up interventions.
• Document assessments and interventions thoroughly and clearly.

Purpose:

The RN is responsible for delivering quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

• Performs telephone triage as needed
• Taking complete, accurate messages from patients and relaying them to appropriate physician
• Collaborates and coordinates with business office staff to schedule patient appointments (includes office, outpatient procedures, hospitals, and other medical facilities)
• Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow-up/intervention
• Documents assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely
• Develops patient education materials, triage protocols, and clinical guidelines in collaboration with physicians
• Uses computer system efficiently and accurately
• Oversees LPN's and CMA/RMA
• Performs specialty procedures as trained and as needed:
  • Peripheral IV therapy
  • IV Therapeutic phlebotomy
  • Lab draws as ordered
  • Access of implanted ports
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Other Duties:

• Ordering medications and supplies
• Monitoring Infusion therapy
• Ongoing assessment for potential reactions/side effects

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
