Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter, Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a PRN basis. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinate with departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.

Shift schedules vary, requiring flexibility and clinical excellence. Qualified candidates will have an RN license, be able to work in a fast-paced ED, and hold or pursue critical care certifications such as BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing with an appropriate credential (ADN, Diploma or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory; other core certifications encouraged.
• Facility and unit specific certifications (ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, etc.) may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Evaluate effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
• Adapt to rotating shifts and varied hours while delivering high-quality emergency care.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical requirements/demands:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
