Summary of Job Duties: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care, coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. The RN will work with patient referral sources, facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions. The RN will develop and implement individual health plans in collaboration with patients, families, and providers.

The Orthopedic and Spine Hospital (TOSH) at UAMS is seeking passionate operating room nurses to join a team focused on redefining quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program
• Valid Registered Nursing License
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nursing experience
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong work ethic and accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current BLS
• ACLS certification
• Scrubbing experience
• Orthopedic experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act of Arkansas, adhering to institutional policies and standards.
• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Support and mentor other team members.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and serve as a resource for students and staff.
